Member Selection and Review

Community Health Charities Minnesota (CHCM) members provide programs and services with tangible community benefit in at least one of five categories:

  • Medical research
  • Patient services
  • Professional health education
  • Public health education
  • Community health

Accountability

Community Health Charities member charities complete an annual update with the Charities Review Council, and submit the resulting report with their CHCM membership application.

The Charities Review Council’s Accountability Standards help charities demonstrate their trustworthiness to donors.

Engagement

In Minnesota, we help over 10,000 donors in 200 workplaces find meaningful information, services, volunteer and giving opportunities related to health causes that are important to them.

Member charities play a crucial role in bringing these programs to the workplace:

  • Motivational speakers
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Health education programs and resources
