About Alzheimer's
Alzheimer's disease accounts for 60 to 70 percent of cases of dementia, and five million Americans are currently affected. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease that attacks the brain and results in impaired memory, thinking, and behavior. Alzheimer's disease is the seventh leading cause of death in adults, after heart disease, cancer, and stroke. Age is the greatest risk factor for Alzheimer's.
