Combined Health Appeal of Minnesota

1986-1994

  • The Minnesota affiliate of Combined Health Appeal was founded by seven charter member health charities.
  • It was formed to obtain financial support for health organizations through workplace giving (payroll deduction) programs.

 

The HealthFund of Minnesota

1995-July 2000

  • The Minnesota affiliate withdrew from the parent CHA organization, and formed an independent legal entity ? The HealthFund of Minnesota. 
  • The federation grew to represent 20 non-profit health charities in Minnesota.
  • The federation reached a milestone of $1 million in Total Public Support

 

 

Community Health Charities Minnesota

July 2000-Present

  • Combined Health Appeal of America and the National Voluntary Health Agencies merged to become Community Health Charities.
  • Community Health Charities has 37 affiliates across the United States.
  • The HealthFund of Minnesota became an affiliate of the national Community Health Charities organization July 1, 2000.
  • The Minnesota affiliate retains its legal name - The HealthFund of Minnesota - doing business as Community Health Charities Minnesota.
  • Community Health Charities Minnesota represents 27 of the state?s premier health organizations.
  • Community Health Charities Minnesota currently currently raises nearly $3 million in Total Public Support.
