Programs available at the Ronald McDonald House include:
The Ronald McDonald House School – a contract alternative school, licensed through Minneapolis Public Schools, and gives full-time instruction for patients and siblings from kindergarten through 12th grade, allowing children to maintain academic performance while families remain together.
After-school Activities and Summer Activities Program – provides children with fun, engaging and educational activities during their stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
Child-Family Life Specialist – on-staff and helps both patients and siblings understand and cope with disease and treatment, and serves as a resource for parents.
The “Cook for Kids” Program –Volunteers, from organizations and groups to individuals, prepare home-cooked meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House, allowing families to eat together despite busy, stressful schedules.
