Minneapolis/Saint Paul provides a number of the world’s most advanced medical treatment centers for pediatric critical care. Families travel to the Twin Cities from across Minnesota, the United States, and the world for their children to receive highly specialized care at our area hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities accommodates 48 families on any given night, providing lodging and a community atmosphere of care, support and encouragement while reducing the costs of daily living.
The average length of stay for families who came to receive a bone marrow or solid organ transplant was 129 nights. All other families average 53 nights. Most nights there is a waiting list of families hoping to stay at the House. Families are asked to pay $15.00 per night per family, but no-one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest, also supports and manages outreach programs that extend support beyond our doors to the local community.
