St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the premier pediatric cancer research center.  Its mission is to find cures for children with catastrophic illness through research and treatment.  The hospital is unique in that it is the first and only institution dedicated to the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research regarding catastrophic childhood diseases.  St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and around the world, and is staffed by some of the most prominent physicians in the world.  All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.
