Minneapolis firefighters hold "Fill-the-Boot" fundraising event across the city to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. According to Minneapolis firefighters, the International Association of Firefighters raises more money for the Muscular Dystophy Association than any other organization.
All of the city's 19 fire stations are stationed at 26 intersections, and bring fire boots to stopped cars to ask for donations. The money will support services at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, including sending kids to Camp Courage.
