Why CHCM?
Why Community Health Charities Minnesota?
Chronic illness is an urgent concern. Over 2.3 million Minnesotans are affected by chronic illness, and the number of people nationwide who are facing a chronic disease is expected to reach 157 million by 2010.
Community Health Charities Minnesota is the leading workplace giving organization in the country dedicated to improving lives affected by chronic illness. Over 90 percent of charitable gifts go directly to our member charities to support health research, services, and education.
We provide consulting services with client companies to help design customized solutions, based on nationally recognized best practices, that enhance workplace charitable giving.
According to the 2007 Cone Cause Evolution Survey, health was repeatedly ranked one of the most important issues among the American public:
- Health is the number one issue among issues Americans feel companies should address.
- 92 percent of Americans report that they have a more positive image of a company or their product when that company supports a care they care about.
- 83 percent of Americans feel that companies have a responsibility to help support causes.

For Employees
Adding CHCM allows employees to make contributions and volunteer with the causes they care about.
